Walmart Winter Beauty Box 2014 Unboxing

This is an unboxing post about the items I received in my Walmart Winter Beauty Box 2014 that I ordered. They include items from Jergens, Maybelline, Olay Fresh Effects, Nivea, and L'Oreal. I was not as impressed with the this box compared to my Target Beauty Box that costs the same but the size of the products were all deluxe sample sizes.

Jergens BB Body Cream
Retails: $11.97 (Full Size, 7.5 fl oz)

Jergens BB Body Cream

I used this body cream before and it works okay. It is not something that is very impressive. The color of Jergens BB Body Cream is a nude color. The bottle I received in my Walmart Beauty Box is for light skin tones but they make other versions for varying skin tones. This will stain clothes so if you plan to wear white pants, don't apply this body cream on your skin.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Maple Kiss

The color pay off for this lipstick is nice. It is a very pretty brown shade for lipstick great for fall and winter lips. This didn't dry out my lips when I wore it but I did have to re-apply twice throughout the day. It will transfer to cups so this doesn't have good staying power. This shade is very flattering and I think it can work with most skin tones. There isn't any shimmer and is very creamy on the lips.

Olay Fresh Effects Everything Off Face Wipes

The Olay Fresh Effects Everything Off Facial Wipes didn't irritate my skin when I used it to remove my makeup. It has a light fresh scent and your face doesn't feel sticky afterwards. It was able to remove all the lipstick, foundation, and eyeshadow I wore that day completely without rubbing it too hard into my skin. When it's time to replace my facial wipes, I might consider picking these.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder

I used the Maybelline Dream Wonder Blush before and I didn't like it. With their Dream Wonder Powder, it was not something amazing enough for me to replace my current powder foundation. I didn't like that this was presented as a sticky and theres no where on the flyer that says what color it is I am sampling. Even if I liked the shade they sent, I have no idea what it is for me to pick it up in the store. :(

I don't like the scent of Cocoa Butter so this was one of my least favorites in the Walmart Beauty Box. I did try the body lotion and it was very nourishing. I didn't like how it felt a bit sticky though. If I have to choose between Nivea's Cocoa Butter body lotion and their Shea Butter one, I would pick the shea butter version because it feels less sticky and the scent is better.

L'Oreal Paris Oleo Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner

I have been using this shampoo since receiving the Winter Walmart Beauty Box and the first few times it made my hair feel silky. However, the more I used it, I could feel a build up of greasiness near my roots.

Now that my hair is shorter, the ends flip in all directions and this shampoo and conditioner was able to make 95% of my hair strands stay straight when I wake up the next day. If it didn't make my hair become more greasy and oily I might have kept it in mind for my next shampoo and conditioner replacement.

I don't recommend this if your hair is normally greasy or oily because it will make it worse. I think there are like 6 types of flower oils in it so that might be why I got greasy build up around the scalp the more I used it.
