Whish Body is a brand specializing in bath skincare products made with ingredients that are moisturizing for the skin. All of Whish Body products are eco-friendly, never tested on animals, and made in the USA. Today I will be reviewing one of its bestsellers, the Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream, which I have in Acai Grapefruit. The Acai Grapefruit scent is exclusive to Birchbox, which means you can only order it from Birchbox.com and not the official Whish Body website.

What I like about this product is that it contains ingredients promoting hydration for the skin while eliminating the appearance of unsightly bumps, redness, and irritation common to shaving. The Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream is made with organic shea butter and natural squalene (omega 3) that help seal in the moisture of your skin. What smooths it will be the ingredients of organic green tea extracts and organic coconut oil. It also has jojoba seed oil to nourish it.

What the Whish shaving cream looks like
The consistency of this shave cream is very light and airy with a whipped texture, which is what makes Whish different from most shave creams. As for the Acai Grapefruit scent, this smells horrible. It has a very strong sour, acidic scent that is not pleasant and it doesn't smell anything like grapefruit or other citrus fruits.
The closest thing I can describe this as would be like yogurt mixed with rotting grapefruit. :x While using this, I had to hold my breath became this smelled so bad to me and the smell of this shave cream does fill the bathroom too. I read other reviews on the Birchbox website with people saying it smells good but who knows, maybe I got a bad one?
It could be they were leaning more toward an Acai scent but I never had the fruit before so I can't tell you if it does smell like Acai berries. If you do want to buy this shave cream, I would recommend to reach for another "flavor." The Whish shave cream also comes in blueberry, lavender, almond, pomegranate, lemongrass, key lime, and coconut scents. I am sure these will smell a lot better than Acai Grapefruit.

"Before and After" using Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream
The best way to use this is to wet the skin first and then apply the shave cream to get the closest shave possible. I also used a fresh new razor for good measure. You can feel on your hand that its a bit oily when applying and feels slightly greasy when rinsing it off with water. After shaving with Whish shave cream, you can really feel the difference compared to some drugstore shave creams because of the different moisturizing oils in it.

It's a little hard to tell from the photo but my leg did feel smoother and more suppleThe skin on your legs will feel very soft to the touch and you can see your skin looks more moisturized by the shave cream after rinsing and won't feel dried out. There is no need to apply lotion afterwards when using Whish. This is the only benefit that stood out to me about using this. I used this twice on different occasions and can say that Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream is effective and does what it claims in the moisture department.

Now, let's talk about price. The full size costs $20 for 150 ml. vs drugstore brands costing around $3.  If this will last me a long time I would get it but I think 150ml isn't a lot.  The sample size tube is 22 ml and the amount was enough for shaving on two different occasions for just full legs. So if you do the math, you will probably get about 7 uses from one bottle
Personally, I would rather buy a shaving cream that costs less than $20 and just apply lotion, aloe vera, or Tend Skin to rehydrate my skin as well as reduce irritation. I would say Whish is a lot better than EOS Shave Cream but you can get similar results with a nice shave gel from Skintimate at a fraction of the price.
