Review: Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea

For those who don't know, I am a huge tea fanatic! I grew up drinking tea and have continued to explore the wide variety of aromatic teas out there.

I have tried the tea brand Celestial Seasonings in the past but I had no idea they made "limited edition" flavors in time for the winter season. It wasn't until I received a sample of Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea as part of my Influenster #FrostyVoxBox that I found out.

Being a huge fan of peppermint tea, I was excited to try this tea flavor.

Flavor Profile: Mint, Vanilla, Green Tea

The way the tea bag is shaped allows it float up while you are brewing it. This makes removal quick and easy. The Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane is also decaffeinated so you can enjoy it right before bedtime. I personally enjoy having a chamomile or a nice decaffeinated tea before bed to unwind and relax after a long day.

My favorite thing about this tea in particular is that it leaves a very nice minty tingle that hits the back of your throat after every sip. Kind of similar to a good menthol cigarette. Compared to most minty teas available, the mint sensation is intense and almost as strong as Twinnings Peppermint Tea. This is going on my list as one of my new favorite mint teas.

If you love mint flavored things like mint chocolate chip ice cream, York Peppermint Patties, or Icebreakers' Breath Mints, I think you would very much enjoy this. With the Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea, it's not necessary to add a sweetener like sugar or honey to this tea. It tastes just as good on its own. The green tea used in this is not a very strong one but the hint of vanilla leaves it with a delicious aroma.

I would recommend drinking this tea hot as opposed to cold. The mint flavor of the tea diminishes after it cools. I will definitely be adding this little gem to my grocery list for my next trip to the supermarket.

What is your favorite tea?
Have you tried Celestial Seasonings before?

x Carol

  2. I didn't know this existed! Not gonna lie, I'm kind of bummed that it's decaffeinated, as I'm a non-soda drinking caffeine addict. Peppermint tea is one of my favorite kinds. It's so relaxing and also helps with tummy issues.

    1. I looked on the Celestial Seasonings website to check if they made a non-decaf version but it looks like all their "holiday tea" collections are de-caf. :(

Peppermint tea is my go to for tummy issues and ginger tea works well too. Thanks for stopping by Brianna. :)
