Review:
Moist Diane is a drugstore brand from Japan and yeah, I agree that the brand sounds a bit strange. ^^; I ordered this shampoo from imomoko.com because I saw they recently started carrying it and what attracted me to it are the benefits after using it. The benefits advertised from the "Moist and Repair" line, which are the honey colored bottles, are that it improves hair shine, moisture, and repairs hair damaged by color dying or heat styling. I also want to make a note that the bottle yellow bottle labeled "Moist  Treatment" is the conditioner in this value set.

I consider my hair to be damaged because I dye it every few months and with black hair, the bleaching process makes my hair extremely dry. I also found that shampoos and conditioners from Asia tend to work better with my hair than most brands in America because the formulas are more nourishing and doesn't give my hair static. I also have issues with frizzyness and flyaway hair strands because it's humid in Florida so I am always on the hunt for haircare targeting these areas.

After using this the first time, my hair felt soft to the touch and silky smooth. The first thing you will notice is that the Moist Diane Shampoo and Conditioner has a strong floral scent and it completely fills the room both during and after use. When applying the shampoo to my hair, it did not get knotted nor did it feel dried out. As for the conditioner, you only need to do 2 pumps and it is enough for medium to long hair. I could feel my hair immediately becoming more moisturized and nourished.

I am also happy to say that this conditioner did not leave a greasy residue on my skin or scalp. If you follow up with a blow dry, your hair will look shiny, sleek, and straight. I have been using this for about a month and the bottle is only half way down so even though you are paying more, this bottle will last a while. If you want your hair to have extra volume, the trick is to shampoo twice and then condition once.

If you currently use Shiseido Tsubaki Shampoo and Conditioner, I think you would like this one more because the shampoo is more gentle on your hair and doesn't strip away all its moisture.

  1. Thank you so much for your review. I've wanted to try it for ages but I'm afraid it's not that good. I'm currently the Shiseido Tsubaki and sadly it strips off the natural oil leaving my hair so dried up and dull. Now that I've read your review, I can't wait to try this. :)
